Thanks to Frankie Laine's terrific career breakthrough version, this 1931 ballad emerged to become a semi-standard (and later on, a favorite of doo-wop groups). Woody's low-key treatment shared 1947 national record chart appearances with Laine, Sammy Kaye, Ella Fitzgerald, Martha Tilton, and Hadda Brooks. Transferred and digitally processed from the original 78rpm: Columbia 37329 - That's My Desire (Loveday-Kresa) by Woody Herman, accompanied by The Four Chips. Recorded March 19, 1947.
