The Marquee Club, London (England) - December 21st, 1992 Four days before Christmas 1992, Roger Taylor and his band, The Cross, played the first of two Christmas concerts for the Queen Fan Club at the legendary Marquee Club in London, where Queen played sometimes in the early days. The Cross where joined on stage by two very special guest stars: Timothy Staffell, the original singer and bass player of Smile (the band before Queen) sang lead vocals on "Earth" and "If I Were A Carpenter"; Roger Daltrey, lead singer of The Who, sang lead vocals on "I Can't Explain", "I'm A Man", "Born On A Bayou" and "Substitute". On the next day, the band played their second concert for the fan club: guest stars included Brian May and Timothy Staffell (it was considered a Smile reunion).
